I received my B.S. in mechanical engineering from Berkeley in 1992. I received my M.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford in 1993. At Stanford, I studied medical devices as part of a collaboration between the schools of medicine and engineering. I received my law degree from USC in 1996. I was born in the Midwest and raised in Northern California.
